Girls’ Cinnamon Beach Getaway

It’s time for that beach getaway with your gal pals, but what are you going to do for the week that is fun and entertaining?  Don’t worry; the area has so many options available, and I have put together some suggestions and website links to get you started.

Cinnamon Beach, Beachside Pool

If your priority is to work on your tan, Cinnamon Beach has a great beachside recreation center that provides plenty of lounge chairs, cabanas, and great pools for cooling off.  The Cinnamon Beach Grille serves food and drinks in the pool area during peak seasons (spring break and summer).

If you are looking for a private beach cabana, the Cinnamon Beach Recreation Association has contracted with Coastal Cabana to provide rental cabanas and chairs to make your beach time special.  They take care of the setup and takedown every day you want to use the cabana.

After a day of travel to get to Cinnamon Beach, you are probably ready to be pampered.  Whether it is a matter of just getting your nails done at NailBar103 or going for a full body treatment at Massages by Natalie & Co, the options are unlimited.  If you want to have messages right in your condo, Massaology, a mobile company, can prove all types of massages to meet your schedule and needs.

Alternatively, yoga is another option for getting the travel kinks out.  Consider getting a group yoga lesson right on the beach.  Concierge Yoga & Fitness can arrange a beach program or at their studio in Flagler Beach.

After a day or two on the beach, you might be in the mood for some afternoon drinks, tapas, and live music.  The
Hammock Wine & Cheese, located in Palm Coast’s Hammock area, is open most days for lunch and late afternoon snacks.  You will need to check their schedule to see what days the music and spirits are flowing.

If you are looking for some dining options, Flagler Beach and Palm Coast have some great food choices with an international flair or beachy venues with live music.  I have another blog dedicated to the dining options in the area.  An alternative to dining out is to have dinner catered.  Nothing can beat a catered meal served on the balcony overlooking the ocean, which is an excellent option for the last night of your stay.   World Plate offers a variety of catering and prepared meal plans.  Additionally, grocery delivery is available from most of the area grocery stores, including Publix, and their deli and bakery can prepare appetizers, fruit, and deli platters.  Additionally, many restaurants in the area deliver, and I have a blog post dedicated to area takeout and delivery options.

Got some singers in the group? Consider karaoke at Finns, Flagler Beach, or Hammock Wine & Cheese, in Palm Coast.   If listening to live music is more your speed, then the various music venues in the area will satisfy your need.  There are so many options, and I have a separate blog post covering the best live music option in the area.

If you want to try your hand at being an artist, consider making something beachy.  Sherry’s ArtStudio, Palm Coast, is an art gallery with various painting workshops scheduled generally on Saturday and Sunday.  Call to get a special class just for your group.  If pottery is your thing, attend a class or workshop at Down to Earth.   Laure Norton with Beach Life Mosaics provides a mobile art studio to teach you how to make Mosaics.  You can schedule a private lesson or go to their website and find a local workshop.

If you are ready to explore a little, consider a relaxing afternoon or sunset cruise on a sailboat with Captain Alex.  Alternatively, a day trip to St. Augustine is an excellent option.  Enjoy the historical sites of Old St. Augustine, two outlet malls, and some fantastic dining venues.  End the day with a ghost tour

You cannot adequately explore the area without checking out some of the local shopping options.  I have a separate blog post dedicated to some of the region's best shopping.

Finally, what would a girls’ getaway be without some great photos of your time together?  There are some excellent Instagram-worthy local sites.  Check out my blog post with a detailed listing with photos of each location.

I hope these ideas will help you plan a girls’ getaway that will be fun and memorable.

See you at the Beach!
