The Flagler County Essential Guide to Live Music

The area has many venues to enjoy live music, but while the music is free in most places, it will cost you a drink at the bar or a meal to take in the music.   I have several venue recommendations for you where the music genre can vary from instrumental, reggae, southern rock, country, and hard rock.  If you are looking to see a national musical group, I have also included in this summary a few concert venues that require you to pay to hear the music.  The teal-colored links will take you to the specific venue.

The pandemic has caused many venues to either shutter or reduce their live music offerings.  However, we are starting to see restaurants and bars start to get the music flowing again.  Before heading out to a recommended music venue, check the link for their music schedule.

Hammock Wine & Cheese, In the Hammock, Palm Coast. This tapas restaurant is open most days (except Monday and Tuesday) for lunch and late afternoon snacks.  You have to check their schedule to see what days the music and spirits will be flowing.  They also have Karaoke on Wednesday nights.  This is a family-friendly restaurant.

JT’s Seafood Shack, In the Hammock, Palm Coast.  Jt’s usually has live music from 530-9 pm on Friday nights and Karokee on occasion.  The best bet is to check the billboard out front or their website.  This is a family-friendly restaurant.

Finns, Flagler Beach. This pub offers karaoke on Tuesday nights and live bands, usually on Friday and Saturday night.

The Golden Lion, Flagler Beach.  This restaurant and bar has live music almost every day of the week.  Music starts early on Saturdays at 1 pm and Sundays at 2 pm.  The rest of the week, music usually starts around 4 pm. This is a family-friendly venue.

First Fridays at Flagler Beach Veteran’s Park, usually 6-9 pm, is a festival with exhibits, food, and music.  Bring your Lawn Chairs.  This is a family-friendly venue, but events are currently canceled due to COVID.

The European Village, located in Palm Coast, is patterned after old European towns where residents live over their shops.  This village is relatively quiet during the day, but it becomes vibrant with its 11 restaurants in the evenings.  They have a center court gazebo that comes alive with music, usually on Friday and Saturday nights.  This is a family-friendly venue.  Check out their Facebook page for the music schedule.

Daytona Beach
has a variety of locations that provide live music every night of the week.  This Daytona Live Music link offers a list of venues for you to consider. However, if I had to recommend one place to check out, it would be the Ocean Deck.  This place has been a local and tourist favorite for over 50 years.

Daytona Beach also has live music at the historic Bandshell right on the beach.  Some events are free, while others require a paid ticket. Additionally, national musical acts, plays, and other entertainment performed at the Peabody Auditorium.

If you plan a night out in St. Augustine, you may want to check out some local music while in town.  St. Augustine, on most Friday and Saturday nights has many different locations for live music.  This link takes you to a calendar of live music in St. Augustine.  Additionally, the

St. Augustine Amphitheatre is a mid-size outdoor venue that brings national acts to the area.  Tickets sell out quickly to musical events at this venue, so it is best to check out this venue while planning your vacation.

Enjoy the music.  See you at the beach!
